Negative experience: As a candidate which my hiring company used Credence to conduct background check, I had negative experience - multiple human errors, addressing my referee name wrong, lack of response of email communication, said they always reach out to HR but reached out directly to my ex-boss(thanked god it wasn’t an issue for me). Overall they gave me an impression that they handle process unprofessionally and do not take data security as highest priority. The process took them one month which seems a bit too long. After this review is published, they suggested I reach out to their support which I did, but right after they got my name and company name there’s no more follow up from their side - this only proves how poor quality is the service.

Negative experience: My friend had to get a backround check for a new job he was very excited for. It took just under a whole MONTH from when Credence recieved the request, to finish the backround check. A whole month of a paycheck lost because of poor commication (8 days of no commication at all at one point igoring all of his emails asking for updates), complete lack of any sort of effort from Credence's side to finish the backround on time and general incompetence when it came to helping my friend with any forms or updating him on the process. He could have taken so many other opportunities but decided to wait for this. At one point, they asked him to fill out a form and sent it back and then said 'no, send it in PDF format'. They dont even know how to convert a form to PDF format. My friend had to do other things for them aswell and in my opinion did half of the work for them. Disgraceful. Do not use this unprofessional company.

Negative experience: Poor user interface of upload tool with tons of possibilities to improve process and transparency, not particularly friendly communication, information have been requested that have been already submitted before.

Positive experience: Good place to work but high attrition rate due to less salary compared to the market.

Fantastic experience: Credence were a great help in responding to an urgent request that we had. Our client needed checks completed within 24 hours and Credence were able to set us up with an account and process the checks with in the urgent timeframe. They provided wonderful guidance through the process and responded quickly to my emails and requests in a professional manner. Thanks for your help Team!

Negative experience: Extremely slow at carrying out background screening even if you help by providing relevant information. Disappointing to say the least!
